Bruce (“Booie”) & Lindsey are hopeful adoptive parents from South Carolina waiting to adopt a baby. If you are pregnant and considering adoption for your child, please read their Dear Birthmother letter and profile.

Dear Birthmother:

We hope that this letter and these pictures will give you an impression of the loving and secure home we can provide for your baby. We know you love your baby very much and we are grateful for your courage and commitment in considering adoption. You are blessed with a very special gift to give the gift of life. We have a gift too, a huge place in our hearts waiting for a child to fill it.

We believe that children should be raised through love, encouragement, guidance, teaching, plenty of patience and a good bit of humor. We will raise our children with Christian values, and teach them to treat all living things with kindness and respect. We want our children to have fun, positive experiences. We’ll support them when they struggle, cheer for them when they succeed, and guide them when they make mistakes. We will love them everyday.

This will be our first child, but we do hope to adopt another one day so that our children will know the love and friendship of a sibling, and will learn to play and share with others. We plan to share our family journey with our child from the beginning because we want him or her to know the amazing way we became such a special family. We know that this is a difficult time in your life, but hope that it can be a positive one too. We have a lot of love to give, so we hope you will consider us when you decide to place your baby for adoption.

Who We Are:

We have been happily married for 5 years now, and we dated for 8 years before we were married. We were high school sweethearts. We met in 9th grade in Spanish class and have been together ever since. Booie says that when he first met Lindsey, he couldn’t help but notice her smile from ear to ear. He fell in love with her “very sweet heart” and her passion for helping others. Lindsey says that when she first met Booie, he seemed like a really tough guy, but she quickly learned that he is really just a big teddy bear with the “kindest heart” she has ever known. The last 3 years of infertility has only strengthened our love for each other.

A very special member of our family is our 3-year old nephew Grayson. When Grayson was born, his mother was very ill and not able to take care of him. We took Grayson into our home, and from day one, he has been a blessing in our lives. He now lives with his mother, but we still share the duty of being part-time parents to Grayson as he spends every afternoon at our home. We also cannot leave out our two girls – Bella and Stella, our toy poodles. They love Grayson and will be ecstatic to have another child to play with.

Booie has been a salesman with his family’s stainless steel distributorship business for the past 8 years. He enjoys the privilege of working with his father every day. Lindsey will be a full-time stay at home mother when they adopt a child.

Our Interests:

One of our favorite things to do is a weekend trip to our family beach house. We sit around and chat as a family, have cookouts, go fishing and crabbing, ride our bikes, take boat rides and build sand castles on the beach with Grayson. We try to get to the beach house a couple of times a month. We also love to visit the mountains, which are just a few hours away.
When not with family, Booie enjoys golf, tennis, basketball and movies in his spare time. Lindsey enjoys biking and sports.

Our Family:

Lindsey is the older of two children and has a younger sister. Her parents are still married are live in the same town as Lindsey and Booie. Her sister is in college in the same town and she and Grayson live with Lindsey’s parents. Lindsey is close to her family and keeps in regular contact through visits, phone calls and emails.

Booie is the middle of three children and has an older brother and younger sister. Booie’s parents are still married and live in the same town as Lindsey and Booie. His brother lives in another state, but his sister also lives in the same hometown. Booie is also close to his family and has regular contact with them through visits, phone calls and emails.

Our Home:

We live on a quiet street in a quaint neighborhood. Our home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and a large fenced-in back yard. The nursery will be right by our master bedroom. Our bonus room is already set up as a playroom. We are just minutes away from a park with tennis courts, walking trails, a baseball field and large playground. We are close to schools, medical facilities and churches.
