Greg & Gale are hopeful adoptive parents from South Carolina waiting to adopt a baby.  If you are pregnant and considering adoption for your child, please read their Dear Birthmother letter and profile.

Dear Birthmother:

Thank you for choosing life for your child.   Making the decision to place your child for adoption tells us so much about you and the kind of person you are; and, it shows us how very much you love this child.  Thank you, also, for providing us with the miraculous opportunity to enrich our family with children.  We have tried to have a child for the last 15 years, and have walked a long road in our desire to have children, but now God has provided a beautiful, unique way to build our family.  We have had two miscarriages, gone through years of surgeries and fertility treatments hoping that something would work but ultimately, had to have a hysterectomy two years ago.  We feel so blessed and are so excited at the prospect of bringing this child into our family, nurturing him or her, and experiencing life through his or her eyes.

Let us tell you just a little bit about us.  Most important, we love the Lord.  God is the center of our lives as individuals and He is the center of our home.  We know that God brought us to each other!   We love each other and are best friends.  We both love children and enjoy being with them, whether they are our nieces, nephews or our God-children.  We are close to many of our friends’ children so our child will have lots of playmates.

We are already thinking about the wonderful things we will do with our child – going to ballgames together, buying that first bicycle, planting flowers together, watching him or her in the church Christmas play, baking cookies, playing video games, hiding Easter eggs, and big family Christmases.   Everyone in our family and circle of friends are so excited and eager to share in the life of our child.

In closing, again we say “thank you” from the bottom of our hearts.  You will always be in our hearts, prayers and never far from our thoughts.  Should we be given the honor of raising your child, we will make certain that he/she knows the love of Jesus Christ, the love of two parents and always know that it was your unselfish love that gave him/her the opportunity for the best possible life.

Who We Are:

We met at church and have been happily married for 16 wonderful years.  We are each other’s best friend and confidant.  Gale says “that from the moment I met Greg, I knew that he was someone I wanted to get to know.  I fell in love with him because he has a strong character, gentle spirit and a heart that loves with a vengeance.  He encourages me when I fail and applauds me when I succeed.”  Greg says “that from the day he met Gale, she has brought laughter, joy and meaning to my life.  Her spirit lights the room when she enters it just as she has lit my heart.  Gale is giving, loving and selfless, and is the epitome of care and hospitality.”

Our marriage has only grown stronger as we have experienced failed fertility treatments and miscarriages.  Our desire to be parents has not waned, but has only grown through this journey.  We feel that God is teaching us about trusting Him through this experience and is preparing our hearts for a child.  Right now, our immediate family consists of us and our 22 lb cat named Sonic, who is 9 years old.  He is a loving, smart and funny cat who will be a great companion for a child.

Greg is the Vice President and Manager of a local business.  Gale is a homemaker and is looking forward to becoming a stay-at-home mom.

Our Interests:

We share so many common hobbies and interests!  We love to laugh and have fun.  We love music, sports – especially football!  We also enjoy working out together.  We enjoy history and visiting historical places.  We love to cook and have family dinners together.  We are both active in our church.  Individually, Greg enjoys playing golf and other sports.  Gale enjoys writing, baking and cake decorating, and fishing.

Our Family:

Gale is the older of 2 daughters.  Although her father and mother are recently deceased, Gale has learned a lot from her parent’s happy 56-year marriage.  Her sister lives with her husband and their two children in a neighboring state, so she and Greg are able to see them as often as possible.

Greg is the youngest of 3 children, and his parents have been happily married for 53 years.  His brother lives with his wife and 2 children in a neighboring town.  His sister also lives with her husband and two children in a neighboring town.  Greg and Gale see his parents, who live in a neighboring town, about every other month and his brother and sister several times a year.

One of Greg and Gale’s nephews is adopted, and they see him as a gift from God.  He is very excited about having another cousin, especially someone who can share this special gift of adoption with him.

Our Home:

We live in a safe, suburban neighborhood in a two-story home.  Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms.  We are presently working on the nursery to make it a wonderful, special place for our son or daughter.  We have a large back yard with plenty of space for a swing set and a child to play.  There is an elementary school with a playground close by.  We live in one of the top five school districts in the state.  We are also close to parks, the zoo, and amusement park and the lake.
